The Orangeburg County Development Commission will host the 2008 Economic Development Summit where Jafza International is scheduled to unveil its "Master Plan" and model for Santee, South Carolina. The Summit will create an understanding of the opportunities and the impact Jafza will have on Orangeburg County as well as the entire state of South Carolina.

The attendees of The Summit will learn of the unprecedented opportunities of the future with our state, region and local community in being at the forefront of the next wave of thinking about the future of Orangeburg County and surrounding areas. Orangeburg County Economic Development Summit’s program will combine high-level speakers, panel discussions and interactive sessions to develop strategic insights on challenges, solutions and opportunities.

The Summit will forge new strategies and visionary thinking to help grow Orangeburg County and the State of South Carolina. Attendees will leave with Vision 2020, understanding there is a Regional and State issue linking our Port as the main entry to North America, Jafza. Orangeburg County will be prepared for the growing pains that are going to birth a new and diverse Economic Development.
